When I was younger – much younger – I would sort my Hallowe'en candy into separate piles (see photo). My dad would get the gum (yuck!) and nut-related candy, and I would be left with neat stacks of the good stuff.
Apparently, childhood habits predict one's present-day personality. Let's see -
Visual order is important to me, as is consistent, clean design.
I appreciate variety. Though I majored in Drawing and Painting, I also enjoy photography and graphic design. A year's study in Florence, Italy gave me an opportunity both to experience the rich artistic history of a unique urban environment, and to renew my passion for the Toronto's cityscape and the artistic possibilities it holds.
I'm an artist who likes to have a lot of things going on at once. I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Art from the Ontario College of Art and Design, and am happy to fill the void with art-making and freelance graphic design work for a wide variety of clients. I like having the chance to collaborate with diverse groups that have varying needs and to finally provide each one with a product that really speaks to their style and personality.
I still dislike gum and nut-related candy, and if I still went trick-or-treating I would definitely sort the loot. The photo doesn't lie.
